Le Moulin de Chenaud enjoys an idyllic situation on the banks of the river Dronne, in the Dordogne. This spacious, historic 1750’s water Mill with its revolving water wheels is set in 3 hectares of grounds in the quiet, charming medieval hamlet of Chenaud, approximately 360 inhabitants.
There is a small island at the side of the Mill where guests can wander under the shady trees, paddle in the stream or use the boules court situated near the small summer pavilion. You can sit and peacefully relax, or coarse fish for barble and carp from there.
The Mill has its own weir where guests can partake of private fly fishing if wished. There are two rowing boats and a pedalo which can take you 2.5 km up-river to the small village of Saint Aulaye and its amenities. There are 6 bikes available to leisurely discover the region.
The swimming pool, sited alongside the Gite, is under construction (please enquire when booking) but in the meantime, there is private river swimming.
The Mill accommodation is very flexible in its availability to take either small or large groups, both for holiday bookings or meetings, conferences or as a wedding venue.
This is a peaceful, relaxing and quiet location but with lots of activities and amenities only minutes away.
